My name is Ryan Riehl. I’m an industrial designer with decades of experience in my field and a long-standing research interest in ancient megalithic structures, sites, and artifacts — specifically the technical features of their construction, fabrication, and operation. This site documents my analysis through that lens: precision, technology, and intended function, evaluated against contemporary engineering and design knowledge. The goal is a more rigorous and grounded understanding of what these structures actually were — and what they were built to do.
True headway into a more comprehensive understanding of history requires constant re-evaluation and many times imagination using new tools and perspectives which have not traditionally been included.
Many of my views contradict accepted current understandings, but it does not mean that they are completely irrelevant or wrong as I use many of them in ways that build and bolster a newer POV that I am offering.
